Recent NCRO Performances
St Cyril and Methodius Gala
Raleigh NC November 14
The NC Revelers had the honor of once again performing for the St Cyril and Methodius Gala. Repeating a highly succesful event last year that
retired the Church's mortgage, this year's event was even more successful with greater attendance and a successful auction. NCRO was well received and we saw some
excellent dancing again this year. We enjoyed very much being a part of this elegant event. Georgia and Kelly were featured in an evening of the best big band swing.
A good time was had by all and we are happy to play for these folks any time.
Children's Flight of Hope Gala
Raleigh NC November 5
It was our distinct pleasure to perform this year for the "Vintage Affair" hosted by the Children's Flight of Hope. Their mission is to provide free private air transportation
to and from medical facilities for seriously ill or injured children (with their families or guardians) who, due to
medical, financial, or logistical reasons, are unable to travel to their destinations by any other mode.
This group, made up of dedicated volunteer pilots flying private aircraft, incurs huge expense to perform their worthy mission. We were very
pleased to perform for these good people and help them raise money for their goals.
The event was held at the General Aviation Terminal of the RDU airport. Surprisingly the accoustics were excellent for a big
band performance and NCRO was an integral part of the event. This was a beautiful event for a most worthy cause.
Guest vocalist Georgia Farmer and NCRO vocalist Kelly Smith were the hits of the evening!
NCRO Performs for Triangle Swing Dance Society
Durham NC October 3
The NC Revelers Orchestra recently followed up its Greensboro NC performance for the Piedmont Swing Dance Society with one on October 3 for the Triangle Swing Dance Society. The venue is
the well renovated Durham Armory. This is a wonderful place to play, and probably every one of the traveling big bands made a stop there at one time or another.
The accoustics are perfectly suited for a full dance Orchestra and NCRO felt quite at home there.
We saw some really good dancing and as in Greensboro the floor was full. As Mr. Ellington said, "It don't mean a thing if it Aint got that swing!"
A good crowd and some fine dancers!
NCRO Performs for Piedmont Swing Dance Society
Greensboro NC May 23
The NC Revelers Orchestra performed "on the road" in Greensboro NC for the Piedmont Swing Dance Society. It is an underatatement to say
that these folks are hard core dancers. The floor was full all night long while the band played a variety of Show tunes, 40's classics and
other items from the great american songbook.

The Oriental Shrine Club in Greensboro is an excellent facility for such an event.
It has a beautiful and well kept hardwood dance floor. An audience like this is what every band hopes for
and we hope to perform for these folks again.
A Good Man is hard to find!
